Trees will be put on display at the Shanghai Ocean Aquarium and guests will vote on their favorite submissions on site or via the aquarium's website between Dec. 16-24. Prize winners will be notified and awarded for their efforts on Dec. 26.

About “My ‘Green’……”
“My ‘Green’……” is an attitude that Shanghai Ocean Aquarium (SOA) firmly believes in and hopes to promote. It emphasizes the importance of animal protection, environmental and marine conservation. Through a series of related theme events throughout the year, SOA hopes to promote this green attitude by inspiring and educating more people of all ages and from all walks of life to better understand and care about our living environment and for the people around us (particularly disadvantage groups).
My “Green” at This Christmas Day
This festive season SOA invites you to create an environmental Christmas tree by making use of recycled materials. Get your creative juices flowing while playing a part in environment protection, PLUS standing the opportunity to win some attractive prizes!

Judging Procedures:
1.Visitors are welcome to vote for their favorite submissions both on-site at the aquarium or online. Online voting will be available on Shanghai Ocean Aquarium’s website at www.sh-soa.com.
2.Both on-site voting and website voting will be open to the public from 16 Dec to 24 Dec 2008.
3.Prize winners or their representative will be invited to attend an awards ceremony at Shanghai Ocean Aquarium on 26 Dec 2009.

Note to Participants:
1.My “Green” Christmas is a themed contest that allows participants to create their own DIY X’mas trees.
2.There are no creative restrictions on your X’mas tree.
3.All submissions should be created with environmental or recycled disposals.
4.Submission dimension: within 60cm×60cm×100cm.
Types of Participation:
1.All submissions from schools (both individual and group submissions) and from the general public (individual submissions only) are welcome.
2.Note to group participants from schools:
a)The submission can be made in the name of a class or school.
b)The submission can also be made in the name of a student association (max. 10 persons in one group).
c)The number of participants or their representatives that will attend the awards ceremony should be less than 5 (instructor included).
3.Note to individual participants from schools:
a)The submission must be made by an individual student.
b)The number of participants or their representatives that will attend the awards ceremony should be less than 2 (instructor included).
4.Note to individual participants from the general public:
a)The submission must be made by an individual.
b)Only the participant will be allowed to attend the awards ceremony.
