S.T.D. presents Maybe Mars Showcase
2009 was without a doubt a massive year for Chinese Indie Rock label Maybe Mars, with a swag of their artists releasing new albums and touring the country (if not the world). It was in 2009 that P.K.14, Carsick Cars and Xiao He thrilled packed venues on their first ever U.S. East Coast Tour. The same year, Gar released their debut album, and completed their "Grand Tour" China tour with Carsick Cars; 24 Hours also released their debut album, and completed a "devil-style" China tour for the first time; and Rustic brought their bizzarro bastard temperament into a variety of art exhibitions, and won the Chinese GBOB band contest.
To kick start the new year and decade, Maybe Mars are teaming up with S.T.D. to once again bring the house down in Shanghai...Mao Livehouse that is. Under the roof of Shanghai's new favourite live venue, expect to see a mix of classic Maybe Mars acts and also some of the "keep an eye on" bands. Headlining will be P.K. 14, who barely need an introduction as one of China's most influential and poetic acts to hit the stage. Supporting acts include three piece sensation Gar, Xi'an's Dance Rock act 24 Hours and up comers Rustic.
