Formed by a crew of locals and transplants in Shijiazhuang, Hebei Province, Omnipotent Youth Hotel take their influences from the Blind Melon sort of alternative American bands in the '90s, as well as jazz, blues and psychedelic-noise. Some call their sound post-rock because of the music’s dramatic edge, but there are also folk and alternative elements, combining to make music that is bright, rich, and heart-breaking. RMB50
