Contempt, 1963, Jean-Luc Godard, France, 100 min, in French with Chinese subtitles[HTML_REMOVED] Jeremy Prokosch (Jack Palance) hires Paul Javal (Michel Piccoli), a novelist and playwright, to rework the script of a film adaptation of Homer's Odyssey that should be directed by Frits Lang. Paul loves his wife Camille (Brigitte Bardot) but she blames him for having no backbone. Camille lets Prokosch seduce her, and contempts her husband. The movie will be followed by a discussion led by Mr Liu Wei, producer and announcer for the radio and by Mr Thierry Berthommier, teacher at the Alliance Française de Shanghai.
