La voix humaine is a one act opera for one character, with music by Francis Poulenc and a libretto by Jean Cocteau, based on the latter’s 1932 play. First performed at the Opera-Comique in 1930, this marvellous piece explores the emotional situation of a woman who turns vulnerable, self-possessed and distraught at the end of an affair. Through a telephone call in the deep night, she says farewell to him and her furture. 7 p.m. RMB100-200
