YCIS Shanghai Summer Music Carnival

Yew Chung International School of Shanghai (YCIS Shanghai) Puxi Campus-Gubei Music Department invites parents, students, staff, friends and family to the Summer Music Carnival on Saturday 19th June 2010. Students from Years 2-4 will showcase their music and dance talent at the Concert from 10:30am to 11:30am. At 3:30pm students in years 5-13 from Pudong and Puxi Campuses will premiere new works from the Gubei Orchestra. Choirs including: The Chamber Choir, The Contemporary Choir, Chorale, Years 5 and 6 Choir, Male Chorus will take the stage with a variety of ‘showstopper’ items.

As part of the carnival celebration there will also be the grand opening of the newly re-furbished Gubei Music Department at 1:00pm followed by a demonstration of the new Recording Studio technology, a ‘hands-on’ violin class for parents and students and solo and ensemble items performed at various locations around the school.
