Soul Service : Polish Funk
A regular throughout the 90s in Spain's best clubs, DJ Teasy's influences include Larry Levan, Carl Craig, and Lindstrom. Now, fresh from Madrid's Charada Club, he's bringing Shanghai the best in nu disco and funk every Friday at Glamour Bar in September. No cover.

"Espousing the strength and diversity of funky jazz recorded behind the Iron Curtain in 1970s Poland." - Jazzman Records
With "United in soul to bring funk to your dance floor" as their mantra, expect some serious grooving when Poland's Soul Service takes over the Glamour Bar. This quartet of Poland's funkiest DJs is devoted to funk, soul and jazz - music to dance to - which includes funk, hip-hop, jazz, Latin, soul and - best of all - Polish Funk.
After years of digging through flea markets and granny's attic, they found funk influenced Polish music, and put out the Polish Funk compilation.
Polish Funk hit the spot: It was named the record of the week by "Piccadilly Records" from London, "Dusty Grooves" from Chicago called it "a wonderful introduction to the kinds of grooves we've been digging from Poland for years" and Jazzman Records UK calls it "an album espousing the strength and diversity of funky jazz recorded behind the Iron Curtain in '70s Poland".
