Shanghai is leading the charge in China for live music and clearly showing Beijing that it isn't the de facto capital for great shows. With the 4th installment of the Bacardi Sino Sessions, comes the Go! Team. With crazy samples layered over pep rally rock anthems, this UK band will bring something Shanghai has never seen before: British indie rock, pumped up and dished out with blasts of American sass.
And as usual, we're giving one lucky winner a pair of free tickets to the show. To win a pair of free tickets, answer this one question: If you could see any band in Shanghai, who would it be? The most creative answer in the comments below wins!
Sure you're creative, but why not hedge your bets and buy yourself and your friend a pair of tickets in advance.
What: The Go! Team When: Saturday night, June 30th Where: Absolute Tickets: 120/80/60 Standard/Advance/Student (inc. 1 Bacardi cocktail)

Say! I like Neutral Milk Hotel! I would watch them in a club and I would watch them in a pub... And I will watch them on the run and in the sun. And on the Bund. They are so good, so good, my son. So I will watch them in a bunk. And I will watch them with a monk. And I will watch them with a guy. And I will watch them in Shanghai. And I will watch them here or there. Say! I will watch them ANYWHERE!

OK Go. They are unique, but awesome and even share part of a name with The Go! Team.

I would like to see Cold Fairyland again because: a) they are actually a native Shanghai band, so if you go to see them, you are promoting the development of a music scene in your own community;
b) they are five of the best musicians you will ever see on stage together;
c) their shows are usually only around 40RMB and they often throw in a CD to boot; d) the (mostly Chinese) audience at their shows is actually there to see a show and cares about music, rather than making the scene or getting wasted; e) they play for two hours and they flat out rock.
That said, the Go! Team will be good fun. -

bring Ratatat to Shanghai...the NYC electric duo mixes ill beats with some of the best, old-school and new-school rap around. Their orignals like "Wildcat" just make ya wanna move your body.

I would have to say Lance Bass, of N*Sync. Sure his music taste may be questionable, but the guy has astronaut training so you know he's going to be at the first parties on the moon. It'd be good to be on his good side when those invites go out.
