Mediterranean restaurant el Efante is one of the busiest brunch spots in Shanghai, especially so when the weather is nice, as late brunch goers lounge the afternoon away on the huge deck. The brunch here is inexpensive for the quality, a whopping RMB198 per person for a choice of five dishes. Their free-flow deal is also hard to beat: RMB100 for two hours of bottomless cava, Bloody Marys and sangria. Highlights include the frittata, fried eggs with chorizo, roast chicken, mini beef skewers and caramel apple tart. Vegetarian options available.
