This cozy Western-style bar and grill featuring various Dutch dishes offers excellent home-style cooking and reasonable prices. This is the only place in town offering Dutch Fries, a delight to those in the know and a must-try if never tasted.
When you come once; I guarantee you will keep coming back.
This cozy little bar and grill is reminiscent of New York circa 1990s–stark white, simple but tastefully decorated with a smattering of colorful tulips and an obligatory Van Gogh as wall decor. The Western food tastes homemade, and various Dutch dishes complete a well-rounded eclectic menu. We tried the Dutch fries with our happy hour beers (two for one, ¥30)–a must try. The fries are topped with a mixture of mayonnaise, peanut sauce, curry ketchup and diced onions. Outstanding grilled chicken wings (¥30) and the not-so-usual authentic German sausage bratwurst (¥60), served with salad, sauerkraut, potato pancake and gravy, were exceptionally satisfying. Portions are ample and, though stuffed, we had to try the Dutch pancake with rum raisins and ice cream (¥20) for desert. The outstanding menu and prices definitely make it worth a try. –Peggy Rosen
