    City Weekend Says

The aromas wafting to your nostrils as you enter this second floor café are thanks to the Cantonese, Italian and Japanese live cooking stations which dole out fresh cuisine on the spot to complement an array of Asian and international selections, seafood and tantalizing desserts. Guests can order à la carte or opt for the buffet.

    City Weekend Review

    Got Crabs?

Large groups tend to lend themselves well to buffet-style eating and with this in mind, a group of eight set out for Aroma at Hyatt on the Bund to feast--repeatedly. The dinner buffet's (RMB228 net) myriad selection of dishes includes food from all culinary walks of life with live Japanese, Italian and Cantonese cooking stations. Despite noshing on sushi and delectable teppanyaki delights, the entire group inevitably ended up being drawn to the seafood table to indulge in oysters, shrimp and, more particularly, enormous snow crab legs. With easily an entire crab's worth of legs a piece we happily cracked away. The succulent and awesomely flavorful meat emerged in large, ravenous eater-friendly strips which were quickly devoured with a splash of lemon. After a quick dip and rinse in the finger bowl, we quickly found our hands grabbing more. We won't name names, but one member of the party easily indulged in 15 of these delectable crustacean limbs--good thing they were in good supply.
