An ideal haunt for coffee snobs or wine and cheese connoisseurs, this cozy two-floor cafe specializes in just these items, offering a range of simple eats and well-brewed (or poured) drinks. Whether cheesecake or cheese platter, you'll be able to find something to pair with that latte for an ideal afternoon or evening treat.
Best Coffee for Coffee Snobs. Best Wines for Wine Snobs. Best Cheese for Cheese Connoisseurs. Best but Inexpensive. Pair a cheese cake with a cup of latte, pair a cheese platter with a glass of wine… what’s more relaxing than getting lost in this two-floor cozy place?
A Leisurely Sip
Don't be fooled by the name, this unpretentious locale is an ideal hang out for web-surfing, socializing and seeking refreshments. A bit restricted in selection for a vino bar, we ordered the lone by-the-glass option--a French Cornerstone Classic red and white. At YY30, both were more than palatable for the price and came with a gratis plate of Edam piled high. Additional import labels are available by bottle only ranging from YY168–390. Pre-packaged sandwiches at just YY8 provide a nice take-away option and were perfectly edible while the Tuna Garden Salad's (YY20) ample veggies and the mini crisp crust pizza (YY28) were just enough for a tasty snack. In addition to wine, the venue offers a nice variety of drinks (YY15–50), both hot and cold including smoothies. The Café Mocha (YY26) was average but a nice companion to our slice of Black Forest cake (YY16). There are still a few kinks to work out, but overall this is a laid-back cafe that encourages guests to save the snobbery for elsewhere. -Stephanie Thomas
