A stylish Filipino coffee chain that serves hearty sandwiches, tasty minimalist pastas and a selection of frappes and coffees that deliver a formidable punch. At the Xingye Lu branch, patrons can either sit al fresco or scale the stairs to the faux-library which comes complete with wall-to-wall bookshelves.

Good Move! I recently relocated from the boondocks to center city, and Figaro is only a quick jaunt from my new apartment. Great for the spirit, not too bad on the pocket book.

Best Place For Writers and Booklovers Friendly service, newspapers and magazines, wireless internet, plenty of sockets, soothing library decor, two monthly book clubs, a shelf with free books, a writers support group, creative and fiction writing workshops, media-savvy crowd, frequent author sightings... and endless coffee and carbs. I wish I could live at Figaro - in fact, I practically do!

Once a month, join CW to discuss the Book Club's latest read, juiciest buzz around town, or just for some random weekend chit chat. And on all of the other days? Lattes, cheesecakes, more coffee, oh my!

great place. it's that kind of coffee shop which you can go to whenever -- alone with your laptop for an afternoon of surfing the net, or to hang out with friends. service is topnotch -- genuinely warm and professional, a rarity in the city. one of my favorite places in shanghai.

Great place to have a relaxing lunch, or just grab a coffee and read a book. They have free wi-fi which is great too! I just wished i lived closer, I'd probably be here everyday.

The best place in town for working and hanging out with friends. Great coffe and good food+good prices makes this a winner. Yesterdays International Herald Tribune is a treat in a city like Shanghai

Way to spend a perfect day: READ a good book (many to choose from and they are free, you can even take them home but don't forget to return so others may enjoy also), SIP a perfectly brewed coffee and ENJOY the homey and friendly ambience. Mabuhay ang mga PINOY!
