This small café concentrates on doing two things well: crêpes and gelato. A rotation of 40 flavors from durian to wax berry to panna cotta means you'll never get sick of the selection. We enjoyed the savory pizza crêpe and the classic Nutella and banana crêpe at this casual corner. Bring your computer to make use of the Wi-Fi.

New Eats | Budget Gelato
Crêpes were all the rage in Shanghai a few years ago and Voila is trying to bring back the craze with affordable crêpes paired with delicious gelato. We started with a generous Nutella and caramelized banana crêpe (¥16)–a basic sweet treat that went well with our Lavazza coffee (¥20). Our friends tried the intriguing pizza buckwheat crêpe (¥32), and proclaimed that while it was pretty good–light on the cheese with rich tomato flavor–the thin crêpe was no substitute for a real pizza pie. Then we sampled Voila’s selection of 12 gelatos (¥18 for a small), all arranged without ostentation.
They have a total 40 flavors on rotation from durian to coffee. We tried the chocolate, waxberry, kiwi and stracciatella gelatos. The dense chocolate was our favorite–it rivaled Awfully Chocolate’s in flavor, and beat it for price. The seasonal waxberry and kiwi flavors were delicious but the stracciatella a bit sweet. Still, we spent less than ¥100 to feed two sugar junkies.
