A Lovely Escape The latest Coffee Tree is in the fabulous Art Deco-inspired Ferguson Lane, which promises to be a great destination in the future with a spa, flower shop, French bistro, wine bar and design boutique opening soon. The food here is inspired without being pretentious and the wine list complements the food beautifully. We enjoyed a ve g e t a b l e s ou p a n d g o u l a s h , lasagna (or quiche lorraine) and salad served with freshly b a k e d German brown bread or baguette (¥60). Ingredients are sourced locally, and the service is efficient and friendly. In the evening, choose from a platter of antipasti (¥145), pizza or a yummy panini stuffed with salami, cheese and sun dried tomatoes (¥42). Top it off with a delicious apple-cheese crumble cake with fresh cream (¥25) or the delicious squidgy chocolate cake (¥20). We'll be back when the weather is warmer to relax and mingle in the outdoor seating area. –Shelley Epstone
