With cheery interiors complete with boat-shaped seats and fabulous food, the numerous branches of this Cantonese eatery are always packed. The menu boasts an endless choice of dim sum snacks ranging from plump shrimp dumplings to roast pork buns and crispy egg rolls.

In the old days, this place was a great location for good food. It was particularly fun to sit outside on a late Sunday morning and watch the strange pairings of balding beer bellied laowei and their pretty young things.
Alas, either the food isn't what it once was or my standards are now higher. The good news is that Shanghai now has many more dim sum options.
