I went for lunch today and while the food was quite good, it was far short of memorable. I'd enjoyed the set lunch before which is great value, but today was a la carte only. The food was priced as you'd expect for a 5 star restaurant (mains 160+) but there were small things that really annoyed me, like basmati rice to go with a curry, an extra 68 RMB, water 55 RMB for a 250ml bottle and nothing for kids at all. The staff were pleasant but clearly not trained well and therefore annoying by being overly attentive when you want them in the background and frustratingly absent when you want them around. Overall, i'd recommend M on the Bund for a much more enjoyable lunch with a view or come here for the set lunch only.
