It's imperative for every Shanghai guest to dine at this world-renowned Bund-side restaurant. M's inspiring menu offers European, Middle Eastern and North African dishes, along with a scrumptious weekend brunch. Whether it's the highly praised salted leg of lamb, or M's famous pavlova, you'll find a piece of heaven.

I enjoy the brunch here and it is an excellent package. The middle eastern touch in the food is interesting but the portions are a bit small. At nights, this place can get a bit rowdy with too many people so it is not really suitable a romatic night out.

As the weather's warmed up, we've found ourselves gravitating more and more toward outdoor spaces. Recently soaking up the sunshine on the patio at M on the Bund, we were compelled to order the famous M pavlova (RMB108). Now, for those who have yet to indulge in this, we can only say, do. Their version of this traditional Australian dessert is the best in the city. Kiwi, strawberries, mango and dragonfruit heaped on top of a delicious meringue that has the perfect balance of sugary crispness on the outside and a marshmalloy softness on the inside. We're always tempted to order two, consider yourself warned.

There's comfort food, and then there's comfort dessert--this is it for me, my all-time favorite dessert in the city. And since it's piled high with fresh fruit, it's good for you. Really. So for that, go ahead and order two...and also because I won't be sharing mine.

Their portions are small and the quality of meat could be better for what you pay. Liked the small chickens they have there though. Could actually upgrade their quality on most of their food for the prices they charge...until then there are better places across the street.

HighBrow with nice views As the first restaurant on the Bund, I had to give this oldie a try. I quite enjoyed the wonderful service and food. The restaurant offers beautiful views of the Bund. While much cheaper at lunch, I did find the selections a bit heavy and better for a dinner time meal.
