Been out of Shanghai for a while, and returned a few weeks ago. Revisited M1NT after a long absence. Felt apprehensive that maybe after the initial push when they opened it would have gone downhill. But I was pleasantly surprised. Service was great, friendly. Tried some new menu items, like the black cod. Delicious, and seems they give bigger amounts of food now, accompanied by rice. Views as awesome as ever. Glad to be back!

My BF took me for dinner at M1NT last night as a birthday treat. We were both very impressed with the atmosphere and decor. Service was fine, at least by China standards. Both had the set menu which was far to much food for 2 people to finish, but better than leaving hungry.
Only complaint was by the time we left, about midnight, the place was getting pretty crazy with people coming in to the club. So maybe best to go a bit earlier if you don't like those crowds.
Overall a good experience and not as expensive as we assumed if would be. Happy 4th of July!

I went to M1NT Restaurant last week and I was very satisfied with the food and the atmosphere. Restaurant is elegant and chic, and the view is fantastic. The staff is kind and speaks good English. I particularly appreciate their offer of vegetarian food like steamed baby spinach and sesame powder, miso-crusted tofu and warm mushrooms. Wood-planned salmon melts in the mouth and the presentation is very nice. As for dessert I had a delicious steamed banana pudding and coconut ice cream. I would definitely come back there and recommend it!

I went to this restaurant last Thursday; surprisingly this place is packed while half of the clubs in Shanghai is empty. It's well worth it. Service and food are always of the highest standard, service and atmosphere was stunning and is clearly designed with the intention to impress. Simply amazing flavors and attention to detail. I simply love the food, and it was presented beautifully, the portions are big unlike other restaurant on the Bund. The restaurant was a near perfect experience. Good value for a special meal. Love the Crispy squids and the black cod was crazy-good. However, the price is not that cheap though. Also, I would have liked to see a more adventurous wine list, but what was there was reasonable priced. Anyway, definitely recommend this as a top place to go in Shanghai, this is a very special place! And you will not be disappointed.

Went to M1NT last night for dinner.
The service was OK.
Considering our bill was 840rmb pp, I think it was very overpriced.
At least if I went to one of the other premium restaurants I would have left feeling deeply satisfied at this price.
I will not be going there again. I will not recommend it to anyone. I will not take guests there.
In fact the only reason I was there was that someone else (stupidly) booked the table there.

Find of the Week | Better Than Scooby Snacks
Have you ever eaten an hors d'oeuvre that strikes that balance between intriguing, textured and tasty so well that you want to keep eating them like Scooby snacks? We've met our match with M1NT's canapés. Featuring vanilla-cured salmon, Thai basil and celery (¥70), these appetizer nibbles may be small, but they have oh-so-much going for them.
With vanilla involved, we were expecting something sweet and creamy, but this appetizer is all about highlighting the naturally savory, gentle flavor of the salmon. The mildly aromatic fish is eaten with a perky bite of crisp, pickled celery chiffonade and soft Thai basil, a preparation that is pleasantly low-key compared with the explosive taste of raw celery. Together the salmon, celery and Thai basil create a bundle of textures–from the cool slices of fish to the crispy shreds of celery. Finished with a dash of tangerine sea salt, this colorful taste puzzle is worth solving many times over

M1NT Restaurant design is elegant and understated, bringing focus to the intriguing food and spectacular views. Set 24 storeys above the Bund, the restaurant displays a sleek theatre kitchen inside an inviting Asian-styled dining room done in rich mahogany and marble. Group Executive Chef Dan Segall and his team can be seen preparing his ‘Free Asian’ cuisine in the show kitchen that combines the old and the new, with woks and dim sum steamers side by side with high-end Italian appliances.

The beef salad is outstanding. Salmon, lamb, steak are all good but fusion flavour in some dishes seems heavy-handed. Kimchi side dish is just wrong, but mashed potatoes is divinely fluffy.
