Maybe Nuova Vita has gone into culinary decline - the good cook left, and the good waiters stayed. Homey lane-house atmosphere prevails (though we could not shake off the feeling of a diligent imitation of Trattorria Isabelle), but pastas here are artless and boring. The acidic chef's dressing on a salad was borderline unpleasant; icy water smelled of tap. Between 5 and 6 pm not a customer showed up, only a lonely Sherpa delivery man.
