A Norwegian-owned Italian restaurant with a Mediterranean theme, Salabim has long been popular among wifi-seeking Fudan students in the area. Cheap pastas are the main draw here, while burgers and pizzas fill out the rest of the menu.
With its palatable menu of Italian food, Salabim is one of the few western alternatives for starving college students near Fudan University's Han Dan campus. The throngs of students also can make it difficult to grab a table, as there is a steady stream of customers throughout the day.
Salabim is good if you're looking for the basics. Any of the pastas (starting at YY12) are one's best bet for getting a quick, hearty helping of food. After that, it can get a little tricky. Some times an order arrives in a reasonable time, some times it doesn't. Burgers can often take up to 30 minutes to arrive during peak hours. And there is absolutely no guarantee that with bigger parties everyone's plate is going to arrive at the same time.
