Shen Yue delivers a fine dining experience in elegant interiors. Starters bear a touch of fusion (sweet and sour spareribs, smoked tofu, spicy cured beef, dates in sticky rice). The menu includes many Shanghai and Sichuan favorites, like stir-fried shrimp, mouth-watering chicken, eight treasures and boiled spicy bullfrog. Also, there is a dozen of stir-fry pots, full range of luxury seafood and famous Shanghai desserts. Luckily, the quality does not suffer from quantity, and on our many visits we were unable to find a single boring dish. Shen Yue is ideal for introducing rich and smoky red sweet pork (Y48), crisp-fried pigeon (Y28) and tender crab-flavored tofu (Y28) to a first-timer.
