This beautiful little gem is tucked away down a easily missed side-alley off Yan'an Lu between Fanyu and Wuyi, on the same side of Yanan as the towering Regent Hotel. If you can find it you'll be thankful. Vale's petite but beautifully adorned interior, welcoming staff, and mouth watering dishes make the search worthwhile. Some requisite favorites include the mustard shrimp balls, sweet pork (under "Mamma's Food"), and peppered beef. Vale's atmosphere marks it as a great place for upscale business meals and subdued dates. Reservations are highly recommended.
