Chinese dining has reached a new level of taste, style and presentation with the introduction of a revolutionary cuisine created by Whampoa Club on the fifth floor of Three on the Bund. Since opening in 2004, Whampoa Club has delighted and surprised even the most discerning Chinese palates giving food lovers a reason to indulge. While its art deco-inspired furnishings recall Shanghai’s colorful past, the cooking invigorates classic Chinese recipes with a contemporary flair. Whampoa Club uses classic Shanghainese tastes and flavors, but we prepare the dishes with disciplined finesse to accentuate those flavors and present them in a clean, creative style. In addition to the superb cuisine, guests can also choose from a range of 50 specially selected exclusive listed teas from the farthest reaches of China, elegantly served in traditional tea ceremony presentations, either in one of the restaurant’s four gorgeous tearooms or in the main salon where tea trolleys are available at the tables. To add to the experience, professional tea sommeliers will also be on hand to help diners choose from the vast selection. Whampoa Club seats 200 guests and has five private dining rooms able to accommodate separate smaller parties, or be configured into one large private room for up to 80 people – the perfect venue for celebrations and private dinners. Additionally, three stylish tea rooms, ideal for small, intimate gatherings, are also on offer. Two semi-private rooms with stunning views of the Bund are also available.
