While pretty tame for those who can handle spice, Sichuan peppers adorn a smattering of dishes on the menu which has a heavy representation of fish and bull frog. Other dishes are more eclectic in nature, ranging from baked fish in chicken soup to deep fried sweet and sour eggplant medallions.

I've avoided this neighborhood restaurant for too long, so one fine night we went in, and the food was pretty good. Being in the mood for junk, we particularly dug the sizzling fried perch in foil (Y48), decent mapo tofu (Y16) and cold spicy noodle (Y18). The service was somewhat funny: after the checkout, the waiter did not let go of the change in his hand, took my friend's smile as a signal for a tip (I guess) and carried the change away. Meanwhile, one of the starters we ordered was forgotten in the kitchen and appeared only on the bill.
