This restaurant's popularity and reputation for delicious Taiwanese cuisine is well deserved. The tender, juicy crab roe-filled dumplings are accompanied by a tasty mouthful of broth in each bite, and the chicken and beef soup nicely complements the palate. Cheerful and friendly staff will attend to your (stomach's) every need.

here youll never go wrong with any of the dishes from the menu, the food is always good also the service, sometimes can get too crowdy and have to wait for a table . but that means you are in the right place.

Great delicate dumplings. Good for a treat. Prices can astound you for dumplings, but certainly worth it at least once. Can get quite crowded around peak times. Great service

I finally got around to trying the Shanghai branch of Din Tai Fung at Xintiandi. While I like a window seat and the ability to gaze out at the people below walking around the area, I am much more of a fan of the Taipei and Beijing branches of the restaurant. Clearly, the food and service are never going to be a question when going to Din Tai Fung. I find the use of space at Xintiandi to feel more like a shopping mall than an inviting restaurant, particularly because other branches DO have a better ambiance.

frankly speaking i was disapointed with the food in this restaurant. i have expected more especially i am fun of the dumpling we have ordered three different kind but i have to say the taste was little dull and i did not really enjoy it.also other food ordered was below my expections and i have to say too expensive for the quality.service on other hand was perfect.i might be unlucky with my order but i was really disapointed with the food.i miss dumplings in Harbin.

The perfect place to bring foreign guests who can be reluctant to order xiaolongbao and jiaozi on the sidewalk. Hygiene here is hopefully better, and decor, service and presentation are quite nice. Make sure you book a table (but you'll wait outside anyway !)

Xiao long bao tasted good, but they're too small and too expensive.

Nice one for the 小笼包 ,noodle , fried rice, and the pork chop. The dumplings are their speciality. It's a nice place to go with family or friends.

Nouvelle cuisine for Xiaolongbao and noodles? There're queues alwas at Diongtaifeng, but I guess it's popular with expats and Japanese, due to the service and presentation. Food wise it's good, a little pricey considering that you're ordering Xiaolongbao, dunmplings and noodles actually...

Absolutely perfect! I love the pork and crab meat xiaolongbao... Excellent food, clean environment, really good service, affordable prices. No way you miss it.
