This Asian chain offers colorful surroundings and colorful dishes: expect major serenading at the table. It’s all very upbeat and festive so perhaps not the place to take a date but a big group would enjoy the show, reasonable prices delicious curries and other fragrant dishes.

I hate to say this but this place is one of the biggest dining disappointments in SH...even after considering the my low expectation of service quality in Shanghai. Flipping through the 50 page menu was challenging (and annoying) and the service really left a lot to be desired - the hostess was rude, my dessert came before my main course, my warm beer came without glasses for 15 mins, the plain rice I ordered came after I was almost done with the meal, the band (singing) was painful. I have eaten in restaurants that range from the 'dumpy' hole-in-the-wall shops to ritzy gourmet restaurants. At RMB300 per couple for 5 dishes and a beer, this place has a service level that is worse that the neighborhood noodle and dumpling shop. Also, the fish we ordered was far from fresh, and the rest of the dishes were no where near satisfactory. The place was dressed as Thai but is a weird and incoherent mixture of Malaysian, Indonesian, Indian and Singaporean but ends up being neither. If you like Southeast Asian food, there are much better options in SH that cost less, taste way better, and have far superior quality of service even within in their respective price range.

another chain restaurant in Shanghai who alters the authenticity of the dishes to gain acceptance from the local market. And the pricing is ridiculous, several meals in Banana and you can get your self a round trip ticket to Thailand. Personally, I would not go back.

With its exotic Thai decoration and tropical interior, complete with fish, fruits and even a giant tree of life, this restaurant physically stands out. Malaysian dishes and other Southeast Asian favorites delight as the staff sing and dance for your amusement. You'd best go when in a festive mood as you, too, may be cajoled into becoming part of the entertainment.
