    City Weekend Says

Woven chandeliers and a clever stained-glass design add to the cozy, unpretentious atmosphere of this Vietnamese restaurant. Foodies come here to enjoy the coconut infused curries and other Southeast Asian fare, or to sip signature cocktails at the bar and lounge in wicker chairs.

    City Weekend Review

A Southeast Asian fix You're unlikely to stroll by and decide to pop in for a drink or some tasty Vietnamese food because you probably don't pick highways, such as Yan'an Road where Saigon Blue is located, for your leisurely walks. Despite its unfortunate location, however, Saigon Blue is worthwhile if you're craving some South East Asian fare. You can sit at the bar and sip their mint and coconut cocktail, lounge in wicker chairs and enjoy delicious freshly squeezed juice (¥30). Or, choose from spring rolls (tofu and vegetable ¥15, crab ¥25) that come with delicious peanut and fish sauce dips, pho soup noodles (vegetable pho ¥45), salads (kongxincai with pork and caramelized onions ¥42) and entrees. The highlight of our meal was the marinated fried chicken (¥58) which, with lime, transported us to fresh flavors of Southeast Asia. It's definitely worth a visit. - Ana Barfield
