Signature Sensation

This Asian-inspired spa's signature Chinese element decor greeted us as we entered this sanctuary of relaxation. Black stones and red accents lined the walkways as we were led through a labyrinth of hallways to our treatment room, aptly named “Clarity.” After changing out of our confining street clothes, we approached a welcome tub of warm water infused with green tea leaves and rose petals, offering a soothing foot bath. We also chose the scent of our incense, Champaka, the white orchid, as sounds of trickling water and tranquil music echoed throughout the room. This spa is renowned for providing clients with a holistic experience, and ours began with a cucumber and lemon balm body scrub. The warmed-up salve was much appreciated as body scrubs usually tend to make us jump in cold surprise. Once our body was sloughed, we sauntered into our private steam room for 10 minutes of sheer nourishment. A quick shower later and it was on to an oil-free Royal Thai Acupressure massage. We were twisted and turned and our muscles began to fully relax, our circulation stimulated in preparation for the Banyan Massage that followed, during which our body was kneaded with an herbal pouch dipped in warm sesame oil; the tension eased from our muscles as we fell into a blissful daydream. Wrapping up the three-hour session was a soak in a ginseng bath, and as our oil-slick self slipped into the rose petal-laden warm water inside the impressive tub, our technician brought hot lemongrass tea and fruits for us to enjoy. With a final rinse in the rain shower, we emerged silky smooth, rejuvenated and ready for anything that may come our way.
