Spa Review | Two-for-One Massage
Dragonfly’s new Double Trouble package involves four slick hands kneading the tension out of your body. Since we love regular oil massages anyway, we were excited to try this new package that promised us the attentions of two skilled massage therapists. Our treatment began with one attendant gently kneading our necks, while another rhythmically massaged our Achilles heels in what felt like a slow, choreographed dance across our skin. They spread lavender-scented aroma oil over their hands by touching palms, and gently patting it onto us. While the woman at our neck moved slowly down, massaging our shoulders and tracing our spine with her fingers, her counterpart massaged up, stimulating the back of our knees, calves and thighs. This went on for 30 luxurious minutes.
Then they moved on with each taking one arm. Using long, sweeping motions in opposite directions, each attendant pressed both hands down the length of our arms. We turned over, and they moved to massaging our front in the same way with reflexes like synchronized swimmers, who only use their hands. While one masseuse concentrated on our temples, another one stimulated our sides. We were pleasantly surprised at the effort they took to keep us discretely covered with layers of towels.
As a parting gift, one of our therapists even climbed up on the massage bed and gave us a gentle, but effective shoulder massage. By the end of the session, we felt like our flower-scented skin had enjoyed a crowd-commanding performance and was shouting “Bravo.” We recommend this treatment to spa goers who like a gentle touch when it comes to massage.
