    City Weekend Says

This inviting establishment provides an oasis for after work drinks and a bite to eat. The interior is simple yet sophisticated, with white walls contrasted with dark wooden beams, an airy patio, and tribute posters to The Beatles. A mix of bar food and hearty meals satisfies, as do cool pours of draft beer and reasonably mixed cocktails.

    City Weekend Review

Abbey Road is not a dizzying overdose of Beatlemania. There are subtle band posters; classy, not kitschy, paintings in the back room, and most surprisingly, the sound of Red Hot Chili Peppers filling the air. Instead, this inviting establishment provides an oasis for after work drinks and a bite to eat. The inside interior is simple yet sophisticated, with white walls juxtaposed by dark wooden beams. However, before the sweltering heat sets in, patrons should relax on the airy patio, architecturally more Japanese than British pub, shaded by large red umbrellas. Bottles of imported beer go for ¥25-35 and cocktails for around ¥45-50. The Abbey Road Martini (¥45) was weak, so next time we'll try the Create Your Own Cocktail for ¥50. The Chicken Nuggets with Curry (¥35) tasted straight out of the McDonalds fryer; however, the burgers were big, juicy and satisfying. Patrons can also try the famed 300g Abbey Road Beef Steak for ¥80. Once Abbey Road decides if it is more restaurant or bar, this new French Concession establishment will "Come Together." –Ashley Woo
