This relatively divey member of the Bund family is simple but often a late-night party spot. ILS, as it’s affectionately known, is a great budget escape from the overpriced Bund bars. The crowd’s mainly foreign, the service is friendly and you can even buy I Love Shanghai t-shirts.

The only thing scary about I Love Shanghai's Friday the 13th party last night was how few people showed up. Has this non-Bundish Bund bar fallen off or have we merely reached that time of the year when the city's bar-crawling expats go home for the summer?

This may not be the "best" bar in Shanghai, but it has to be the "funnest" bar in Shanghai. The people in there are ready to party, friendly and I've even seen the bartender & servers kick out people for being douche bags. Hilarious!
