A Shanghai institution and formerly a stop for most tourists, I Love Shanghai has moved to Jing’an. The venue has free darts and pool along with reasonably priced drinks and a comfortable, laid back vibe makes this a good downtown option. Keep an eye out for theme parties and drink specials making this bar worth a visit.

Drunk as a skunk Beware! Have dinner and avoid their incredible strong gin & tonics ;)

The only thing scary about I Love Shanghai's Friday the 13th party last night was how few people showed up. Has this non-Bundish Bund bar fallen off or have we merely reached that time of the year when the city's bar-crawling expats go home for the summer?

What's the special offer on the lady night?

This may not be the "best" bar in Shanghai, but it has to be the "funnest" bar in Shanghai. The people in there are ready to party, friendly and I've even seen the bartender & servers kick out people for being douche bags. Hilarious!

Missing the Love, Issue 24
Many of us have spent the wee hours of countless nights in this bar's original Bund location and have hoped that the newly relocated venue would fill the void that the original left. While we found it strange to see our old stomping ground relegated to the third floor of a Singaporean restaurant, we soon settled in and enjoyed ourselves. The surroundings are fairly unremarkable aside from new dartboards and a pool table; it reminded us of a frat house with its freshly painted paneling and exposed rafters. Remarkably the print of two girls kissing made the journey, but they left the dance pole behind. A Barely Legal cocktail (RMB50) was heavy on the absinthe and left us a bit woozy, and the Creamsicle (RMB50) included mandarin and vanilla vodka, orange juice and cream, although Bailey's was added by accident on the first pour. Our beer selection (RMB40) was a safe choice, and as we drank, we reminisced about the fun we had on the Bund.

Anybody can play beerpong?

Cheers This is the best bar to come meet people and network that I've found in Shanghai. Everyone inside is so friendly, while everyone else on the Bund is so snobbish! Cheers to you I Love Shanghai Lounge!
