Attracting a crowd of mostly locals, this bar is consistently one of the liveliest in Xintiandi as visitors enjoy dancing and hopping around to the Filipino band. Although the multi-colored strobe lights beaming from all directions can put you in a daze, grabbing a moderately priced Cosmopolitan helps to reorient yourself. Perfect for a dance floor laser light show.

Was there this night & I am a regular at this bar for the last 4 months, resonably priced for the area. Staff is friendly and fun loving and make the customer enjoy every moment that is why I am a regular.The band used to be good and get the people dancing. One of the singer on the poster is not singing anymore. She was a sexy one and danced well and a crowd puller.Miss her. Nowadays not so many people come to this bar.The current singers seems to be always hanging out with different guys and getting drunk and slurring will singing. They are one day with a chinese guy one day with a white guy and sometimes with an black guy. I bet they must be sucking them of all there money. So watchout and dont get fooled by the singers.

The comments written by "iloveshangahi2much" is so unfair and not correct. I have known this bar and this band for the last year and a half and the the band is so down to earth. There play some great music and make the place so lively. It looks like "iloveshangahi2much" is one soar person. Trust me if anyone who goes to this place and talks to the band memebrs will realize that they are cool people to be with. Bottomline is that if you treat people with respect you will get the same respect back. Give this place a try and meet the band & you can then decide which is the accurate comment. I will highly recommend this bar to anyone visiting XINTENDI. Have Fun.

Im also a regular customer at rendezvous bar at xintiandi.And I notice that tha band is good also their friendly and loving person thats why the guest always offer them to join them and offer the drinks without choosing if their chinese,black or white.They entertain every guest in the bar thats why they are still there for almost two years.I ask them what they got in doing these coz its not included in their job,they said..nothing..the only one gaining money is the bar coz the guest buy them drinks.Even the guest dont give them money by doing these.In other bars the band got their share in every drinks they got , but these band got nothing so how come that these iloveshanghai2much guy said that these band sucks the money of every guest in these bar?Ive done my homework very well.So to you iloveshanghai2much use your brain..your a liar ....long live LIVE EMOTION..see you guys there at rendezvous

not a bad bar. while the band is not my favorite in shanghai in terms of musical skills, they do manage to get the place going. atmosphere is quite nice in the place and it seems packed most of the time.

This place gets a lot of traffic; however, their pushy service ensures I will not be a part of the crowd in the future. The first night I was there I was really enjoying myself with friends, and spending a lot of money. Still they tried to make us give up our table where we had three people, in order to seat a party of four. I guess it didn't matter that I was spending enough for 10 people. The next night I couldn't get a foot in the door before this guy shoved a menu in my face and asked what I wanted to drink. When I asked to give me a minute to call my friends and see if I could find a seat, for us, he didn't offer to help. Instead he said he would return in 1 minute and I need to order. I realize these clubs make their money on the drinks; however, at least the others have a have a decent customer service attitude. Compared with similar clubs with a band and dance floor, I rank this one at the bottom, due to the poor customer service.
