This pirate-themed bar offers an assortment of rums as well as wine and beer amid a nautical setting strewn with barrels, portholes and nets. RMB15 for a shot of rum, or you can order it in 250ml measures - which is when the place starts to pitch and roll.
A European owned nautical themed rum bar opens in the heart of the Jing An district, near Eight Park Avenue. Come try our unique specialty rum. Beer and soft drinks also served.
We got Shanghaied by this wood-paneled, pirate-themed bar where the bathrooms have mirrored portholes and the wine flows from goblets suspended by fish nets. Fellow castaways get cozy over ¥40 beers and any captain’s drink of choice: rum. Lots of it. Wannabe Jack Sparrows have their pick of rum mixed (¥80) or fruit-flavored and neat (¥15 for 30ml, ¥100 for 250ml). We sampled an orange / mango mix, which came in two giant, cork-stoppered glass bottles. Our lychee / vanilla rum went down girly-sweet as we listened to indie rock and munched on peanuts. Despite the detailed pirate theme, the bar staff treated us like captains rather than castaways and our spirits were buoyed by the jovial atmosphere. All in all, it’s a solid hangout where anyone can pull up a bar stool next to their first mate of choice.
