Great bar, friendly staff and manager. Good beers. Great place for a game of pool...Well priced drinks - little bit far away from my place in JingAn, but worth the drive.

This is by Frank, the owner. Wunderbar's strengths are: 1 of the best beer menus in Shanghai at the very low end of prices, 6 genuine Brunswick pool tables (9 ft) that are free to play, moderate rock music at reasonable volume levels, high ceilings for a nearly smoke free atmosphere, 3 big screens and 9 flat screens showing wide variety of sports. Western owned and managed, we go out of our way to make you feel comfortable. Customers are a mix of local (most speak some English), foreign students from nearby universities, and other expats. Location is about 10 minutes east from the Bund, or 15 minutes from middle Pudong through Dalian tunnel, or 25 minutes from Jingan area. A bit far out if you're in middle or western Puxi, but if you're playing pool or wanting some unique beers at reasonable prices in a good atmosphere...then you're in the right place.
