A gargantuan LCD screen and red lights decorate the interior of this massive club, which often plays host to big-name international DJs. Although located in the posh Xintiandi area, party goers at this club are not afraid to get dirty on the dance floor.

I should preface this review by saying I don't like techno -- sorry folks, just can't get into it.
Been to G-Plus on multiple occasions. The description may bill it as a large club, but it's so crammed with tables and booths that the dance floor is still too small, not that I dance to those droning beats.
The drinks are pretty standard -- nothin' special. The crowd is generally pretty unremarkable.
I'm killing you with my enthusiasm, I know.
But let's get to the meaty stuff: the urinal situation. It infuriates me as it suffers from a problem that plagues many clubs here -- too much lighting (I don't need a halo on my lil fella when whizzin') and a shiny reflective surface right by the goods, basically a mirror so everybody can take a looksies! Not cool. In addition to this major faux pas, I should mention their urinals aren't sloping downward enough, resulting in ridiculous splashback -- just ask my buddy peeing next to me, we had some inadvertent golden showers. What an all-around nightmare!
But before you stick a glowstick up my bum, I'll give 3 stars and concede that if its your brand of music, you could have a really good time at G Plus, so by all means, go for it...
(Just stop taking me with you, damnit!)

Easily one of the worst clubs in Shanghai. There promotional drink specials are loaded with nothing but fake alcohol. If you enjoy receiving 3 back-to-back-to-back text message every day on Thursday till Sunday then make sure you sign your number at coat check.
Is there anyway I can please have my cell phone number off your spam list? Or at least only send me 1 message instead of 3?
Love you G+, too bad you won't make it past the end of this year :(

"Big" club indeed. Interior is pretty cool if you like large clubs. The music is R&B and Rap dominated up to 00:00 after which they change almost on the minute to House. Pretty good DJ's. Drinks etc. just the normal stuff, reasonably high priced as you can expect in Xintiandi (they do have 'deals' for people with less yuan). Crowd is mostly Chinese but there's also a fair number of expats usually. Will go again for sure

Probably one of the best clubs I've seen so far in Shanghai. The entry-way is more like a warp tunnel and when you actually see the club (for the first time at least) you're in for a surprise. This place is awesome, and the staff was really friendly here as well despite the attempt at being pretentious. A couple of high school kids getting drunk and crazy on the dance floor didn't seem to cramp anyone's style so I'd say cool crowd overall. The in-house DJ's were decent too, although I would have preferred a little more hip-hop/remixed tracks than techno/trance (as there was a guest DJ coming in later for that anyways).

A breath of fresh air! My diary is so full of openings these days I beginning to get bored, but Friday's opening was so refreshing. The drinks arrived on time, the staff are enjoying themselves dancing away behind the bar instead of stressing and looking at the time. Loved the dance floor, loved the giant screen, loved DJ Calvin's base! And isn't it nice to go somewhere that doesn't feel like a meat market?! Only question is how o how do you get into the glowing white VIP booths???

Bright lights, bright night Another club with a "G" name? But here the "plus" in the name is justified - G Plus is impressive. Located on the fifth floor of Xintiandi Nanli Plaza, the club is big, with two floors. Lighting is important here, and walls are covered with red light rays, which provide a mysterious atmosphere. Besides the lights and the gigantic LED screen, the sound quality, too, is excellent. The DJs there apparently know what music makes the crowds hit the dance floor – which is, unfortunately, a bit too small for the size of the crowd the club targets. On the drink list, the usual selection of cocktails range from ¥45 to ¥65 – we recommend the "Sexy Mother F**ker", a tasty pineapple cocktail that will fuel you for the floor. G Plus is definitely a good experience and an ideal place to get down with international guest DJ s . - Hé l è n e Franchineau
