i wrote a comment earlier about SIN. I had to pay a grey goose bottle twice. after this comment the marketing manager got in touch with me. finally they saw that they have to improve their system and offered me the money back or the bottle of grey goose at the club (which i have paid anyway) and in addition they would offer me a bottle of champagne. for me this is a fair offer and i would definitely give a 2nd chance to this club....unfortunately not in shanghai anymore

When we discovered that place i also though that i finally found a great place with great music and crowd to hangout with every weekend. and for the last 2-3 months before new years eve we always spent our weekend there.But at new year's eve i had an issue with the club's staff. The table i booked 1 month before new years eve (with preliminary confirm call 2 weeks before) was not booked, and i was confronted with the guards comments that i'm making my story up about the table. Finally after being let in after 30-40 min of waiting we had to wait upstairs again..waiting got the table arrangements to be done. so totally waiting for about 1 hour (on new year's eve) we got only a small table for 3-4 people at the lounge! how such a shit arrangement could be possible?We were very disappointed and tried to find the manager but that was not successful. The staff also granted us a card for a bottle of champagne which could not be used the same evening, but that as ok and understandable. The thing is we returned to the club 2-3 times tryign to use the card but it never worked!There were always excuses about a party or no table available...So there was again a huge disappointment.So the manager needs really to work on teaching his chinese staff how to treat customers and tackle problems. Obviously, we are not coming back again.

I love SIN, the french manager is really cute, they give out sparkling wine to girls on Wed, I think the service is great not like other places when they give free drinks to girls they have this really nasty look.

me and my hood love Sin, good strong drinks, sexy staff, all speak english, dj plays some funky assed shit and although the manager is french he hasd a cool pony tail and knows how to work the crowd making sure all his punters are happy. go there and tell me im wrong

I'm more impressed with the club's layout than anything else. Huge fan of the separate bar area and the upstairs VIP rooms. While I am not the biggest fan of dancing, I found a little more breathing room at this place than with other, more heavily crowded clubs throughout Shanghai.

Have to revisit my earlier review. Place going downhill. Was there last week also when the so called hip hop / rap night was. Left after half an hour. Not a good atmosphere at all and actually NO hip hop song played at all in that half hour. Really mediocre party music DJ. Won't be going again.

I went there a few weeks ago, and I had an issue with the very unfriendly staff. The upstairs was pretty nice, albeit a tad bit empty. The issue happened when I asked a staff member where the washroom was, it turned out that he spoke no english (which is fine), but he then proceeded to call security over and then I was escorted to the elevator. I was confused as to why, and what was going on so I found an english speaking staff member and asked what was going on. He responded that people in their early 20s aren't welcome in the club. I was dumbfounded by this, and left. Keep in mind I hadn't done anything wrong, and had remained calm/polite throughout the whole ordeal. I tried to get in contact with the events manager regarding the incident to no avail. Definitely will not be going there again.

I went there last Friday and it was my last time!! We ordered a bottle grey gosse which they served us at our table. When we wanted to leave the club a guy came and told us to pay this bottle because everybody saw that we haven stolen it! I thought he was kidding me. When i wanted to walk away about 5 people and securities showed up and kept us there. If we wouldnt pay it they will call the police. Of course i didnt take the receipt and i paid cash. But i showed him pictures where you can see that they also served us a box with ice (otherwise we had stolen this ice as well) but it wouldnt interest him. Then we told him to get the waiter of this table here. But he already left…..we asked him to call him and we would even pay the cab for him if he comes back. But no!! I finally paid the bottle a second time….as i left some hours later and i didnt wanna get in touch with the police some hours before, and i couldnt stay 5 more minutes in there withour hitting this guy. But SIN – NEVER EVER AGAIN

Club looks great, DJ's are good, when its busy there are lots of beautiful people. A bit on the posh side however, a bit Bund like. Its all about looks and there are plenty of wannabes. Still.....if there's a good DJ I will definitely go again.

honestly

yet another club with not so friendly staff. Cocktails 70rmb Coca-Cola 60rmb. When 4 of us got there at 11pm all sofa areas are empty but " reserved" so finding a seating area is no easy. Also not so great "client profile" at all!

Finally a place in town that has great music, fab views and decor with a crowd that's not just all about "wanting to be seen". The evening we went (group of 8) - there was a definite buzz about - great table arrangements and cocktail menu was varied enough. Loved the music and it felt good to be there.....definitely an adult's place, glad to be away from the tenny boppers and all those wannabes.......thoroughly enjoyed our evening.
