Description -
Designed to nurture a child’s love of Music, Melody embarks on a journey of joyous sound exploration. Taught by instructors who are passionate about music and kids, learners will be introduced to a range of percussion instruments. For example, students will hammer xylophones and clash symbols to grasp the basics of rhythms and melodies. Small class sizes ensure that every individual is given maximum attention and care whilst developing the confidence to express and communicate emotions, ideas, and stories through music. Through Melody’s games, art, and stories, students will have built a solid foundation for their appreciation and understanding of music and sound and will be able to start the second movement of their musical voyage.

JZ Kids Musical Pathway JZ Kids - "Musical Minds" programs provide options for early learners just finding their musical feet to young maestros needing expert tuition. JZ Kids' pathway provides a comprehensive musical learning package for kids of all ages and skill levels. Melody Foundation Before plunging strait into private instrumental classes kids may prefer a class that teaches basic musicianship, music theory, and musical imagination in a fun group environment. Through games, art, and stories, Melody Foundation allows children to build these skills and appreciate that music is a fun and creative experience. Melody Takeoff Once they’ve grasped the basics, kids will take the foundation essential skills to the next level while being introduced to basic piano and recorder. Like the foundation course, the Takeoff class uses games, art, and imaginative musical stories, but with the added challenges of two handed instruments. From here Kids can decide whether they would like to take their instrumental lessons further, and which instrument they would like to focus on. Melody Instrument An alternative to private lessons, group instrumental classes continue to build music theory and aural skills in a fun group environment whilst focusing on learning to play an instrument of their choice: flute, guitar, piano & recorder. Harmony Some kids get tired of playing on their own, with the Harmony courses students can supplement their private instrumental lessons with ensemble classes and form trios or even octets. They can also choose to expand their appreciation of music by exploring different styles, from jazz to classical. Counterpoint More advanced students may wish to supplement private and ensemble classes with other music lessons. Expand music knowledge with world-music, composition classes, or dare to take grade 5 theory in Theory class.
