This family owned bakery conjures up images of a German hamlet. The European owner is a professional baker, so his freshly baked German rye breads, Belgium waffles and raisin rolls are the real deal. Stop by with your family for brunch (they make tasty omelets and have a kid's corner); eat outside when the sun is shining.
Went in yesterday for German bread and brezeln. I was fairly disappointed in the freshness- both the brezel and the rye seemed a little stale- enough so that I asked if it was baked that day (it was a Sunday). They weren't bad, per se, just had the texture of yesterday's bread. In their favor, freshness issues aside their brezeln taste right, and are well salted. I'll give them another chance, but on a weekday, and in the morning.
