The gym has authentic and modern looking facilities including various sandbags, a large ring, muay thai and boxing equipment, as well as a bar offering health drinks and snacks. The shower facilities are decent and they have a number of Thai instructors that seem to know what they're doing.
After searching long and hard for an authentic muay thai (or Thai boxing) gym/school, I discovered one that was newly opened purely by accident. Located near Lujiabang Rd station on Metro Line 8, Tiger Muaythai Kungfu Club is on the 28/F of Funan Building on No 976 Lujiabang Rd, with a balcony that offers a panaromic view of the Shanghai skyline.
Not a bad choice, for martial arts lovers and people looking to get fit.. especially when the choice is so limited in Shanghai....
