Not Another Overpriced Wine List! Bam-bou (not Bamboo) on Dongping Lu. http://www.cityweek...

My name is Francesco and I manage Otto Restaurants. I just read the comment on your recent experience at my restaurant and I would like to thank you for your candid feedback. The many areas of improvements you highlighted will be the focus of our staff and mine on first place. I sincerely hope you will find the time to come by and give us another shot. On another note I objectively disagree and find not accurate not only the judgment on Howell Mountain Old Vine Zin 2000 ( priced at 328 not as posted at 350) which I believe truly to be a great value & nice wine (I don`t remember to have come across anything coming from Napa of this level & price on any wine list in Shanghai ) and on our wine list. Our approach to wines that comes from both professional wine industry and hospitality experience its totally committed to offer a both diverse and eclectic wine list with honest prices. The range goes from just above 200 to slightly above 1000 RMB offering mainstream and boutique wines to accommodate the different palates. Our approach goes beyond the regular dining places offering the possibility to bring your own wines at 100 RMB corkage fee per bottle that will be simply waived against the purchase of any wine from the list. I truly would like to meet you since I missed this opportunity last time and be enlightened by your view in general on wines and specially pricing coz reading your comments I am frankly puzzled and I truly do not understand where they come from.
