In an era in which pop careers require careful planning, Oh Wonder are an anomaly. They’re a band formed by accident not design, a duo who didn’t intend to play live but spent more than a year touring the world, and a major label act who never saw this being anything other than a DIY project. Ultralife is both Oh Wonder’s extraordinary second album and their debut proper. Its eponymously-titled predecessor, released in late 2015, was a collection of songs they had posted online at the rate of one a month, which millions of listeners fell in love with, turning London-based Josephine Vander Gucht and Anthony West into reluctant pop stars. Now their first album is fast approaching half a billion streams.

Angela's playing restores spontaneity, character, and beauty of sound to the platform... Hailed as a major star in classical music Angela Brownridge has been compared with such pianists as the legendary Solomon, Rachmaninov, Cherkasky, and Bolet. She began her life in an atmosphere of freedom and individualism virtually impossible to find today. Under the guidance of Maria Curcio, who had been a pupil of Schnabel for many years, she absorbed the ability to produce every nuance of the piano, and to present music flexibly and persuasively instead of concentrating on a single method of technique or continual displays of brilliance, learning to deal with the differing requirements of a varied range of composers which recalls Cortot in his prime. Indeed, by realising that many pianists of a bygone age played with far more individuality, magic, and inspiration that has become the fashion, she was able to develop her own unique personality. In an age which has become over-fascinated with mere technique, and which seeks the degree of 'perfection' offered by over-edited CDs, Angela's playing restores spontaneity, character, and beauty of sound to the platform.

Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach is now recognized as one of the most significant composers of the time that covered the transition between the baroque and classical periods. As opposed to his brothers, he always cultivated the musical traditions associated with his father Johann Sebastian whilst adopting a more dramatic style of writing which would later reach fulfillment with the music of Haydn and Mozart. Italian keyboard soloist Riccardo Cecchetti is the founding member of various chamber music groups including the internationally renowned Voces Intimae piano trio. He plays both period and modern pianos and fortepianos. His repertoire, whilst including contemporary pieces, is mostly concentrated on the chamber, solo classical and early romantic music.

Classical music is not supposed to be fun, right? And yet, every concert of the Philharmonix is a living, grooving, finger-snapping testament to the contrary. And who exactly is having fun here? Is it the seven world-class musicians who get to play the kind of repertoire one would never see on the playbill of their legendary orchestras? Or is it the audience, whose eyes light up at their sparkling display of virtuosity and passion? The Philharmonix' sophisticated sense of humor allows them to move seamlessly from the sublime to the ridiculous and back, taking their audience along for a madcap roller-coaster ride… Surprise!! Classical music at its most refined can be a jolly good time. This unique ensemble brings together three members of the Vienna Philharmonic, two Berlin Philharmonic soloists, one of the most versatile Austrian pianists and an improvising and singing violinist for a deliciously heady cocktail of classical, jazz, klezmer, Latin, even pop music… and yes, good old fun.

Sophie Zelmani is a singer/songwriter from Sweden. Her music style is mostly described as folk-pop music. But to really catch the music style of her songs you need more words than only those two. Sophie's music is music as simple as it can be. Voice and guitar, drums and bass, the sound of a saxophone in a distance, the sounds of a flute or violin coming in close. With her gentle, sometimes whispering voice she sings about love, life and other feelings.

The London Symphony Orchestra (LSO), founded in 1904, is the oldest of London's symphony orchestras. It was set up by a group of players who left Henry Wood's Queen's Hall Orchestra because of a new rule requiring players to give the orchestra their exclusive services. The LSO itself later introduced a similar rule for its members. From the outset, the LSO was organised on co-operative lines, with all players sharing the profits at the end of each season. This practice continued for the orchestra's first four decades.
