it's almost unthinkable that a restaurant this large and beautiful could possibly be located inside a mall – and yet, there it is. Opened two years ago, Prince Kitchen is nothing short of stunning. The interior is the stuff the design magazines dream about – dark, moody, ultra-modern and incredibly spacious, the restaurant sprawls across three levels and transcends ambiances of east and west. The showcase is the Asian section, with a glass elevator whisking dishes to the upper levels, as chefs work in open-view kitchens. Popular with Japanese expats owing to its outstanding Japanese menu and extensive Sake list, the Thai, Chinese and Western food is nonetheless every bit as admirable. Check out the tenderloin with King Prawns, or the Red Curry chicken from the Thai menu. Weekends are packed, so make reservations. The menu ranges from affordable (about Y100 per person) to Tokyo prices, should you so desire.
