not only by far the best Italian restaurant in Shenzhen, Blue is one of, if not, the best in all of China. The menu leans towards Northern Italian fare, with pastas, seafood, and lamb. Blue's chefs are all imported from Italy, the service is impeccable, as is the extensive wine list. Whether the name came from the blue décor, or the décor came from the name is unclear. Perhaps it was inspired by the view overlooking the swimming pool, or a longing for Lago di Como. But what's indisputable is that this is a world-class restaurant with a daily selection of fresh oysters from three continents, and a tiramisu that will break your heart (if not your wallet). A meal at Blue isn't cheap, but neither is a Ferrari -- and both are worth it.
